The Music Ministry at First Pres offers an opportunity for everyone to make music, regardless of age, ability, experience, or church membership. We include music and lyrics from a wide variety of styles and traditions, including traditional and contemporary hymnody and music from the global church. There are many options available for ensembles and special music. Please join us as we serve, minister, and reach out!

Ringing a four-octave set of Schulmerich handbells, the Carillon Choir prepares music for Sunday morning worship and special services throughout the year. Contact Michael if you're interested in joining or would like more information about rehearsal times.
Are you a beginning ringer, or want to learn how to ring? A small group is beginning on Sundays after worship. Contact Michael for more information.

The Chancel Choir presents a variety of music throughout the year, often combining with guest ensembles for special worship events. Recent guest ensembles have included the MEO String Quartet, the Lamont Brass Quintet, and the Zvakanaka Marimba Ensemble. The Chancel Choir often presents longer choral works as well, including Britten's Ceremony of Carols and a recently composed cantata for Holy Week, Behold the Darkness. All singers are welcome.
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.

The Joy Ensemble includes singers and instrumentalists that lead and enliven congregational singing through praise songs, Taize songs, traditional hymns in a contemporary style, and music from the global church. All vocalists and instrumentalists are invited to join!
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm.

Kid's Jam meets weekly on Sunday Mornings, offering children in grades 2-5 an opportunity to sing, enjoy musical games, learn music, rhythm, various instruments . . . and jam! Kid's Jam is a welcoming place for kids to learn and experiment with music.
Little Voices welcomes all children in PreK-1st for a weekly music time at the beginning of Sunday School, led by Becca Thomas and Kati Sears. Both groups share their talents in worship about four times a year.

The Music at First Pres concert series offers special concerts and worship events throughout the year, many of which are sponsored by Fine Arts at Four and Brightonmusic.

These events are free and bring the community together for outstanding musical events. Recent ensembles have included The Denver Brass, the US Air Force Cadet Chorale, Brightonmusic Community Christmas Concerts, and many others.

The Worship and Arts Team consists of staff, Session members, and lay leaders that support worship and the arts at First Pres. The team includes those that coordinate and schedule ushers, liturgists, music, dance, and the visual arts. This includes our Founder's Room Art Gallery and our many liturgical paraments and banners. Our powerpoint and audio teams provide important leadership and support in worship as well. Creative minds are always welcome to share their ideas and support!
