HEIFER PROJECT

Heifer International is a worldwide organization formed to end hunger.  Donations are used to purchase animals for children and families around the world who then receive training for raising their animals to help them become self-reliant.

HIS HANDS FOOD BANK

His Hands Food Bank is a local food bank supplying low income families with emergency food and personal care items.  Shelves are located in the front of our sanctuary for your donations and periodically we have themed food bank drives for specific needs.

RELAY FOR LIFE Cancer Walk

Each summer, this venue provides fundraising for cancer research. Volunteers are needed to prepare for the walk and during the walk. Contact Joyce Alsdorf for more information.

CASA

CASA volunteers are a child's voice in court. They work in the best interest of each child, acting as the eyes and ears of a judge. Volunteers are appointed by a judge and receive training in courtroom procedure, effective advocacy techniques, special needs of children and topics related to child abuse and neglect. A CASA's involvement is vital in determining a safe and permanent home for the child.

COLLECTION OF USED CELL PHONES

These used cell phones and chargers are given to women who have been battered and are in shelters.  Qwest puts "911" on each phone as well as one number of an emergency contact person to use free of charge.  The collection box is located in the church narthex.
