There were no transactions in savings.

Mary seconded the motion and all were in favor.
The Treasurer’s Report was approved.

the holidays.
Compassion Committee – Claire –Nothing to
report.
Assistance Committee – Jac – No Report.
Events Committee – Craig – Late funds from
the auction are still coming in otherwise no new events. As a reminder for 2005 Deacons, they need to plan to get
their events on the calendar as soon as possible in 2005. The plant sale is usually in May around Mother’s Day and
then the Deacon Festival is in the fall.
Unfinished (Old) Business: Discussion of the forming of a coalition of 6 community
churches was on the agenda. Jody
has meet with the group again and they are preparing to begin in 2005.
Craig reviewed the information for our new members based on what we
discussed in November. The funds would be given to Almost Home where they have
criteria for distributing the funds to those for benevolent requests.
We would start out giving quarterly to see how this coalition is
going to work. Gladys made a
motion to give $500 to start and then re-evaluate during first quarter.
Rose seconded the motion and all board members were in favor.
New Business:
Elections for the 2005 Board of Deacons was conducted.
Following are the new officers:
Chairperson: Martha
Cosby
Vice Chair: Gladys
Eckman
Secretary: Dot
Lindsey
Treasurer: Claire
Scherer
Pricilla made a motion to accept the officers as
listed. Caroline seconded the
motion and all were in favor.
In 2005, the board will be a deacon short.
There will only be 11 but by combining some of the parish lists and
deleting the inactive members, it should make for 11 full parish lists.
Claire has agreed to redo the parish list board in
the hallway in the Narthex. New
parish lists will not be posted until Martha can meet with Jody and get
the lists revised.
Prayer Requests:
For Judy’s sister-in-laws Mother, Violet who has cancer,
Sheryl for Ruth Pugel who has had medical issues, Larry Caudill, Pricilla
